Tulip Serenade
The original illustration, Tulip Serenade, was created in pen&ink and watercolor, but the limited edition prints were reproduced in black&white. Although you cannot see it clearly in the above image, the ink strokes and stippling (tiny dots) are very detailed in each print.
If you are interested in commissioning me to hand-color a tulip print, please go to the hand-colored tulip print page for price and information. You may choose from the following palettes: all pink tulips, all red, all purple/violet, a mix of pink/red, a mix of yellow/red, or a mix of blue-violet/purple/dark pink tulips. I found that these color palettes work best for the hand-colored versions. The leaves and stems are done in varying shades of green.
The black and white limited edition, Tulip Serenade, is hand signed, titled and numbered. This image is printed on museum (acid free) quality paper.
